Climate needs protection
The protection of our climate is discussed again and again. Renewable energy sources are subsidized and every country is trying to reduce global CO2 emissions.
But it seems to be forgotten, that it is also important to take care of your climate. It is possible for anyone to do something for the improvement of the climate. We can not only reduce CO2 Emissions, we can even reduce the existing CO2 from the air.
It is possible, for example:
- to filter 7.000 kg of dust and soot from the athmosphere per year (dust reduction, air purification),
- to enrich the athmosphere with up to 80 ltr. of water per day (increasing the humidity, improvement for the microclimate)
- to deliver 3 million ltrs of oxygen to the athmosphere per year (from the CO2 reduction)
- to produce 4.000 kg organic material per year,
- to retain up to 70.000 liters of water per year (protection against water erosion an reduce flooding)
- to reduce the average temperature in relation to an adjacent street in the summer by more than 60°C (improvement of the microclimate).
This tremendous achievement ist being done by just 1 average tree with a height of 15-20 m.
In this way a tree may well be seen as a low cost, virtually maintenance – free air cleaning device with integrated air conditioning and a high ecological efficiency.
Unfortunately there is still too much “Green” sacrifices to other interests.
